Bike Adelaide collaborates with, supports and encourages local Bicycle User Group’s (BUG) to engage positively with their local council elected members and staff as well as with community members to improve the local bike network and promote positive bicycle culture. BUGs have established close contacts with staff and elected members. In these areas there is excellent two way communication between BUG’s and their local council staff/elected members.
BUGs also run local events and activities. Details of your local BUG are below. If there’s no BUG near you jump to the end of this page to see how you can create a new BUG. Council areas with BUGs are ahead of the game when it comes to their cycling infrastructure.
Together BUGs and Bike Adelaide form the State Advocacy Network.
